Gardner-Webb box score ... finally
A computer malfunction at Madison Square Garden prevented any box scores from being released during or after Thursday night's UConn vs. Gardner-Webb game. A representative from Gazelle Group -- which is running the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic -- said after the game that they had a box score for the second half, but that they had to re-watch the first half to get complete game stats.
Apparently, somebody finally watched the first half, because a box score is finally available. Here's the link:

Some interesting numbers: A.J. Price had 17 of his 18 points in the first half and 6 of his 9 assists in the second. Jerome Dyson also dished out 4 dimes. Hasheem Thabeet, who didn't start, finished with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. The Huskies shot 43 percent from the floor and 50 percent (6-for-12) from Trey Land. They held Gardner-Webb to 32-percent shooting and forced the Runnin' Bulldogs into 20 turnovers.
Negatives? The Huskies let the smaller Gardner-Webb grab 17 offensive rebounds.
