Wiggins to start?
On Wednesday night's weekly coach's show on WTIC-AM, UConn head coach Jim Calhoun said there is a possibility freshman guard Doug Wiggins could start Saturday against Indiana at the Hartford Civic Center.
Wiggins will begin today's 4 p.m. practice as the Huskies' starting point guard, but Calhoun said during the Big East's weekly conference call with the media on Thursday, that it will remain a consideration until Friday or game time.
"We’re going to look at Dougie at point today. ... We’re not giving up on A.J. (Price) at all, we’re not giving up on anyone," Calhoun said. "We've got to shake it up. It will start that way. We’ll know more tomorrow."
