UConn Big East opponents announced

The Big East broke down the matchups for its men's basketball teams Friday to fill each 18-game conference schedule.

The University of Connecticut will play home-and-home dates with Cincinnati, Notre Dame and Providence. The 2007-08 season marks a return to the 18-game league schedule for the Big East that was previously used from 1991-92 through 1998-99. Each of the 16 Big East teams will play three opponents twice during the season and the other 12 schools once. A repeat series in 2007-08 may or may not be a repeat series next season.

Dates and times of all conference games, as well as the remainder of the UConn schedule, will be released at a later date along with home-game sites (Hartford or Storrs).
