A.J.-O.K.

A.J. Price underwent successful surgery this morning to repair damage to a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in his left knee.

The surgery, performed by Dr. Michael Joyce, M.D., lasted one hour and 20 minutes and took place at the Farmington Surgery Center at the New England Musculoskeletal Institute located on the grounds of the John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington.

As anticipated based on testing, damage was limited to the ACL and was successfully repaired. Price will check out of the hospital later today. Rehabilitation will begin tomorrow and is expected to continue through the summer. Price told the media yesterday that he will remain in Storrs all summer, rather than return home to Amityville, N.Y. as he's done in the past.
