Majok's LOI is in

UConn received Ater Majok's national letter-of-intent on Wednesday (the deadline for the spring signing period), so assuming he passes through the NCAA clearinghouse, he will be a Husky next fall. UConn doesn't need an LOI from 7-1 center Charles Okwandu because he's a junior college transfer, but they have received the necessary paperwork (financial aid forms) for him, as well.

Also, the Huskies have received SAT scores for all of their Class of 2008 recruits, and the scores are good.

On Dougie, Kelly

According to multiple sources, Doug Wiggins has transferred to UMass. Apparently, he has met the school's academic requirements -- which were an issue, as Register columnist Dave Solomon pointed out in his "I was thinking ..." piece today:

From what we hear, UConn guard Doug Wiggins may have a hard time transferring to a Division I school because of academic eligibility issues. As for Curtis Kelly, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas seems to be the frontrunner.
