Dyson health update

University of Connecticut freshman guard Jerome Dyson lost his two front teeth Wednesday night in the loss to DePaul while diving for a loose ball. His face made contact with the Allstate Arena floor but Dyson returned to the game later in the first half.

According to UConn spokesperson Kyle Muncy, Dyson had repairs done on both teeth Thursday morning. Those repairs are temporary and will be fixed permanently at the conclusion of the season. He will likely sit out Thursday's practice as the glue is still not totally set on the repaired teeth. It is expected that he will wear a custom-fitted mouthpiece when he returns to practice and also for games.
